Doug Hammaker and Davie Franek started on the front row of the 30-lap feature. Hammaker and Franek were side by side running for the lead for the first few laps and hit lapped traffic by lap 5. Hammaker was creating some distance between Franke when the caution flag dropped on lap 7 for Wyatt Hinkle when he spun out in turns 3 and 4. Hodnett got by Franek for second on the restart and was all over Hammaker. Hodnett pulled a slide job on lap 12 in turns 3 and 4 and made it stick for the lead. Once Hodnett made it into lapped traffic he was able to create a sizeable lead on the rest of the field and beat second place Franek to the checkered flag by 10.406 seconds. Hodnett got off to a slow start this year but has been on a bit of a hot streak and mentioned racing’s highs and lows in victory lane. Hammaker, who was running a 358 engine, finished third, Steve Buckwalter came in fourth and hard-charger Lucas Wolfe rounded out the top five.
